and is one of the best bird sanctuaries in Florida. Little Pine Island Wetland Restoration is a public-private partnership between the State of Florida and Mariner Properties Development, Inc., of Fort Myers. Situated within the Charlotte Harbor Aquatic Preserve on the southwest coast of Florida, Little Pine Island reserves represents over 4,700 acres of unique wetland ecosystem.
